Reviews
Its a cosy place serving traditional food of the region. The polenta is excellent and the fish as well. On a sunny day it does get crowdy, reservation is advised..
The best polenta I have ever had. Will have to come back. The drive here from Lugano was stunning. Multiple points of interest along the way. The atmosphere was great, but the simplicity of the polenta, made in a cast iron pot over wood flame, sitting outside eating the homemade food, smelling the smoke, experiencing the serenity of the place was almost a religious experience. Definitely worth a visit.
A quiet place with multifaceted aspects. Good regional specialities, nature, water and still a certain roughness.
The service is friendly. The polenta is delicious. You can sit here for hours without missing anything...until someone from the staff comes and puts down a "reserved from time..." note ;)
In Val Lavizzara you will find a Grotto (GR8) Pozzasc, a very beautiful place due to the presence of a river Peccia well nearby, where you can sunbathe, and at the same time pamper your stomach with refined and genuine Ticinesi foods. You have to go there at least once. Reservation is appreciated.
Even though I am not fond of polenta, that place’s is a masterpiece. We had enyojable time watching pond and eating high-quality food.
Beautiful nature, mirror pure water, hidden in the mountains. While enjoying the view, we had our lunch there and tried the Ticino specialties, like cheese and sausages and polenta. Delicious!
This is a great place in a fairytale-like forest with a gorgeous view of the emerald waters of the river. We ordered “Polenta e vari” and it was delicious. Friendly staff, fair price. It’s recommended to make a reservation which we did and all good 👍
The polenta is amazing -- cooked over a wood fire to the perfect consistency, it has a slight smokiness to it. Have the mixed polenta set with the braised boar and charcuterie, a bottle of light Ticino merlot, and go for a swim in the stream afterwards.
